FOOTBALL UNITES

Oman Avenues Mall brings to you “Football Unites” ,  7 weeks of football based fun and entertaining activities. All the Activities include foosball tournament , skill games , display of FIFA world cup winners history at different locations of the mall.

Hall of Fame

An exhibition showcasing the history of world cup winners from 1930 until 2018 at the welcome court. Check out this exquisite showcase and click pics with it , upload it on your social media pages. Tag #omanavenuesmall for your pics to be featured. The best pic will win a goodie from Oman Avenues Mall.

Juventus Academy

Juventus academy has partnered with Oman Avenues Mall to offer skill tests , interactive football gaming and lots of other entertaining sessions during the weekends Thu, Fri and Sat. 4.00 pm  – 6.00pm. Fun and exciting prizes to be won.

Human Foosball Tournament”

The foosball tournament will be conducted during the weekends- Thu, Fri and Sat. 7.00 pm  – 10.00 pm .There will be various sessions with breaks for entertainment in between. Each team will consist of 8 players to face another team of 8.

A total of 31 games will be played in the tournament. Winning team will be crowned the champion and will walk away with prizes

 HUMAN FOOSEBALL TOURNAMENT

The spirit of these rules is to ensure a fun environment and participant enjoyment. All games are to be played in a sportsmanlike manner. If necessary, Oman Avenues Mall will address any inconsistencies, discrepancies, and misunderstandings in accordance with the spirit of these rules.

ELIGIBILITY

Any person over the age of 8 years and the height of 120cms shall be deemed eligible to participate in the game if the following requirements are met.

1. Has registered online at https://www.omanavenuesmall.om/events/football-unites or at the registration desk.

2. Is in good physical health.

3. All risk and responsibility forms are signed by each member of the team.

 THE PLAYERS

Each game shall have two (2) participating teams of a maximum of 8 members and minimum of 6 members each.
Each team will have 6 members on the pitch during the game time. There can be 2 substitutes. Substitutions can be carried out after a goal scored by either team or at half time.

GENERAL RULES

The game concept is just like table top foosball but with real people
Players will face the opposite team's goal
Players need to get in position and always hold onto the pole with both hands
The game starts by rolling the ball into play from the mid-court starting area
Play continues until the ball is out of reach, or out of bounds, or is scored. Follow restart procedures to continue playing
Players must always keep at least one foot on the ground
No possession of the ball by one single player for more than 5 seconds. If done so, penalty goes to the opponent
Players and Goalies can't use their hands. If they let go of the foosball pole and touch the ball with their arms or hands, the possession will be awarded to the nearest opposite team member.
The ball must always remain below the foosball poles
When a possession turnover occurs, the ball should be placed at the feet of one of the forwards of the nonoffending team
No kicking or attempting to kick an opponent
No physical contact of any sort with other players
Players on the ground are considered "radioactive" - they are not to be touched and should not be active in the play until they are on their feet
Players if losing hold of the pole cannot be in possession of the ball during the game.
Verbal, physical abuse to another player or the referee will not be tolerated

Oman Avenues Mall reserves the right to remove players from a team for repeated offenses or if they believe it is in the best interest of the event

 STARTING THE GAME

The game is started by rolling the ball from the starting area by the referee.
The time will start at this point

RESTART PROCEDURE

When a goal is scored, the game is restarted by rolling the ball from the starting area
If the ball is out of bound during the match, the ball will be placed back in possession of the team decided by the referee
If the ball cannot be reached in the playing area, the ball should be rolled from the starting area

 TIME

Each game will be of total 20 minutes. Each half will be of 8 minutes each with a half time break of 3 minutes.
Substitution can be only made during half time or when a goal is scored by either team.

FINISHING THE GAME

Game is over when the time runs out. The timer will be observed by the referee who will blow the whistle
The game officials will tally the final score

 POINTS

Winning team get 3 points
Loser gets 0 points
In case of a draw, 1 point to both the teams
The winner will be the team who scores the maximum number of goals in the given match time. If in the scenario of a team leads by 20 goals or more the match will be concluded.

 SHOOT OUT – IN THE EVENT OF A TIE

In case of a draw, the game officials will apply the golden goal rule. Whoever scores first wins the game and goes to the next round.
